Puppy Weekend Agenda
Hey folks! Hope you’re excited about our getaway this weekend, I know I am! I’ve put together a rough schedule of activity and food things detailed below.
A couple of program notes… ensure you pack an extra towel. It’ll be handy for the pre-check-in, Naked pool time at The Woods and post-checkout pool time on Sunday at the R3. If you’re not staying at The Woods, you can purchase a day-pass for around $15 and the pool is heated.
It also looks like the R3 has some daytime pool parties planned this weekend. If you’re not staying at the R3, you may need to purchase a ticket to those pool parties.

Original Post

It's starting to feel a lot like summer out there. One of my favorite things to do when things get warm is to get out of SF and enjoy the Russian River Resort area. I can't think of anything more fun than catching some sun and going swimming in my pup gear with some puppy friends.
If that sounds like fun to you, I'd like to invite you to join me for a tentative and informal weekend in Guerneville, Friday, July 11 through Sunday, July 13. I've wanted to do a puppy get-away weekend on the Russian River for quite some time and my hope is that this informal gathering might be the start of that endeavor.
You said tentative and informal, what does that mean? It means that if you choose to join for the weekend, you are responsible for booking your own lodging, transportation, meals, etc. There are no planned events, just an opportunity to hang out together in a resort-like atmosphere. I intend to incorporate some pup/pet play throughout the weekend where possible but it is not guaranteed. I will try to coordinate some low-effort social events like pool/river time, a hike, dinner, etc.
Speaking of lodging, I plan to stay at The R3 Hotel. They have a pool, a bar and restaurant onsite. There are several other options nearby (West Sonoma Inn, The Woods (clothing optional resort), The Highlands etc.). These are all excellent places to stay and within walking distance of The R3 and downtown Guerneville.
So, if this is something you're interested in doing, sign up with this partiful link, book your lodging, and I'll keep you up to date on plans as they develop.
